Is it okay if I have my child or teenager take Qualia Magnesium+?

The amount of magnesium in 2 capsules of Qualia Magnesium+ is 350 mg; there is 175 mg of magnesium in 1 capsule. Qualia Magnesium+ should not be taken by children 8 years old and younger, because 1 capsule supplies an amount of magnesium greater than the upper limit set by the National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements for children 8 and younger. The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for ages 9-13 years old is 240 mg of magnesium, so we recommend taking only 1 capsule of Qualia Magnesium+ daily if it is used for this age group. For ages 14-18 years old, 2 capsules of Qualia Magnesium+ contain the upper limit of magnesium from dietary supplements and are below the RDA, so can be used to supplement the diet in this age group.*
