FODMAP stands for fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols. The F and O in FODMAP stand for fermentable oligosaccharides like inulin, fructooligosaccharides (FOS), and galactooligosaccharides (GOS). The D stands for disaccharides, with lactose being an example.* M stands for monosaccharides; these are the simplest of sugars like fructose. A is for “and.” The P stands for polyols (also known as sugar alcohols). FODMAP friendly (or low FODMAP) means that the amount of these compounds in a serving is low. Some people with sensitive digestive systems feel better when they follow a low-FODMAP diet or, put another way, they try to eat FODMAP friendly foods. The primary fibers in Qualia Synbiotic are SolnulTM and Sunfiber®. SolnulTM is FODMAP friendly certified and Sunfiber® is a Monash University Low FODMAP certified™ fiber. Consult your physician if you are following a low-FODMAP diet at his/her recommendation.*

A serving is high in fiber and only uses FODMAP friendly fibers.
