Exploring Global Systems
Tyson Yunkaporta, academic, author, and a researcher who belongs to the Apalech Clan in far north Queensland, joins us today to discuss how Indigenous wisdom can help change the world for the better.
Tyson’s insight into Aboriginal culture leads us on a journey where we explore the defining feature of a civilization, how western culture has subjugated femininity, and what it means to distribute violence throughout the society. In this episode we discuss:
- Defining shame in Aboriginal culture
- How gender impacts violence
- How we can use Indigenous wisdom to overcome systemic violence
Engaging an entire community of minds is the only way to unlock and access knowledge. - Tyson Yunkaporta
